The defiant Squier Sonic Esquire H electric guitar isn't just a solid study partner for intrepid beginners but a just-as-solid backup model for experienced guitarists - or even a worthy DIY project for certified guitar-geeks. Considered the grandaddy of the Telecaster, the OG Fender Esquire first saw the light of day in 1950, when it was the first ever Fender-designed solid-body offering. What's unique about the Esquire is the single humbucker planted at the bridge, a feature that gives this tight model a no-nonsense vibe as well as full and powerful amplified sound.
The solid poplar body is not only extra-thin but extra-lightweight, easing the strain on your shoulders and enhancing comfort when wearing a strap, and since the neck of any guitar dictates the comfort and playability, Squier have given the Esquire a maple neck with a C-profile and satin-gloss coated backside, which has an immediately snug and fast feel in your fret hand. To guarantee a solid base when it comes to both tuning stability and resonance, a Top-Load Tele bridge has been fitted and equipped with six adjustable block saddles that provide a smooth surface for your playing hand to rest on. This fixed top-loader bridge means that the strings don't run through to the back of the body, making swapping out the strings a much easier job.
