Since Jason Richardson, who's known for slinging dizzying, sharp-edged leads, already got his very own, top-spec'd signature guitar from Music Man, the release of this more affordable model from Sterling was simply a given. Aimed at more traditional guitarists who've no need for an extra low B string, this electric guitar has been built using a solid alder body, has been topped with a natural poplar burl burst-finished soundboard and even features a deeply contoured lower bout to provide maximum access to all 24 frets.

The Artist Series Jason Richardson Cutlass 6: Get Loud

Made for metal, the foundation sound of this 6-string axe is formed by two special, Music Man-developed JR humbuckers and can be boosted using the push/pull volume pot so that your solos cut right through the mix. There's even a second push/pull control with coil-tap that can be engaged to bring out cleans, while the modern floating tremolo bridge and locking tuners aid you in lacing your sound with various vibrato effects while keeping the tuning stable.
