General
The Vintage V6PFCB from the Reissued series is an ST-style electric guitar with an alder body. For even more visual flair, it features a flamed maple veneer in a gorgeous Flamed Cherry Burst finish. Combined with the mother-of-pearl-style pickguard, the affordable V6P has a classy look that you'd only expect from much more expensive guitars. It's equipped with a traditional maple neck with a rosewood fretboard and a 25.5" scale length for an instantly familiar feel.
V6PFCB: versatile sound
The Vintage V6PFCB's greatest strength is its unique and versatile sound. Where most ST-style guitars have a number of single-coils or maybe a humbucker, the V6P features no fewer than three P90 pickups. Thanks to that intriguing setup, you can enjoy a warm sound with a powerful output, ideal if you feel the standard ST-style sound is too shrill, but aren't fond of LP-style guitars either. With the traditional vintage style Wilkinson WVC tremolo, you can further embellish your playing with tasteful vibrato effects.
The Vintage brand
Vintage's history can be roughly divided into two periods. In the early days, they made cheap copies that lived up to all the negative stereotypes about low-budget instruments. However, that changed drastically when Trevor Wilkinson, famed for his affordable yet high-quality guitar parts, attached his name to the Vintage brand. Not only did Vintage's hardware division receive a shot of quality, the wood selection and construction methods were also vastly improved. Since then, Vintage has become known for their excellent price-to-quality ratio, and they've certainly been holding their own among the ferocious competition in this price range.

Hij speelt heerlijk licht, eigenlijk boven mijn verwachting, let wel dit is mijn eerste ST model..
Ik had mijn twijfels toen ik hem kocht, over de tremelo, ontstemd hij dan niet? Nee dus, in het begin een klein beetje, maar nadat ik de snaren nog eens even opgespannen heb is het oke.
En dan natuurlijk de sound, want wees nou eerlijk, een Strat zonder single-coil elementen en/of humbuckers? Mijn ervaring met de Vintage V100GT hjeeft eigenlijk de doorslag gegeven, die heeft twee P90 elementen en klinkt waanzinnig goed, dus waarom zou deze V6 met drie P90 elementen dan niet goed klinken? Geluid is natuurlijk ook een kwestie van smaak, maar ik hou niet van het schelle geluid van single-coil, al is het vrijwel standaard verbonden aan de Fender.
Maar krijg je dan wel de typische Fender Strat sound?? Ja zekers wel, alleen iets warmer en iets meer output. Even wat met je versterker (Marshall) en in mijn geval een Vox Stomplab aan het zoeken en gegarandeerd krijg je wat je zoekt. Heerlijke sound, ik kan niet anders zeggen, daar voor hoef je niet een echte Fender aan te schaffen, kijk maar naar G&L, die is ook niet slechter dan een Fender, misschien nog wel beter. Van deze Vintage zeg ik ook, ondanks zijn prijs van slechts 362 euro, is dit gewoon een heel goeie gitaar, punt uit.
