The Vintage V6 has been a great, reasonably priced alternative to the famous American ST-model for quite a while now. With the V6M24DY, Vintage has introduced the spruced-up 'superstrat' version of their V6. This superstrat has a solid alder body, which gives it a surprisingly warm and well-balanced sound. Its maple neck features a 24-fret maple fretboard that allows you to reach even the highest notes with ease. Besides the stable Wilkinson tremolo, the guitar is also fitted with Wilkinson locking tuners to keep your guitar in tune.

V6M24DY: built for speed

The 24-fret maple fingerboard gives your sound some added shimmer, and puts some bite in your trebles. Two Wilkinson humbuckers allow for plenty of bass, clear mids powerful highs. To facilitate heavy use of the floating Wilkinson tremolo, the guitar features locking tuners. Furthermore, the reversed headstock doesn't just look good, it also helps keep the strings at the optimal tension for lightning-quick riffs. Of course, the V6M24 is available in a number of striking colours, like any good Super-ST should. This is the Daytona Yellow model.

The Vintage brand

Vintage's history can be roughly divided into two periods. In the early days, they made cheap copies that lived up to all the negative stereotypes about low-budget instruments. However, that changed drastically when Trevor Wilkinson, famed for his affordable yet high-quality guitar parts, attached his name to the Vintage brand. Not only did Vintage's hardware division receive a shot of quality, the wood selection and construction methods were also vastly improved. Since then, Vintage have become known for their excellent price to quality ratio. The brand has certainly been holding its own among the ferocious competition in this price range.
