General

Did you know that the first real electric guitar was a TE model? Many decades later, this iconic guitar model is still immensely popular. Over the years, many different editions have been issued, including the 1972 models with their double humbucker configuration and their semi-hollow bodies. The Vintage Reissued V72HFTB was modelled after these '70s guitars, but isn't an identical copy. It features a beautiful flamed maple veneer top, for instance. Like all Vintage guitars, the V72HFTB boasts a durable construction with a high-quality finish, and comes equipped with Wilkinson hardware.

Build and sound of the V72HFTB

This Vintage electric guitar has a traditional build, and features a semi-hollow alder body, a maple neck and a rosewood fretboard with 21 frets. Thanks to its acoustic chambers and the string-through-body construction of the bridge, the V72HFTB produces a full, dynamic core sound with plenty of resonance. Amplify it using the guitar's two Wilkinson humbuckers, and your output is truly to die for. Both the build and pickups are responsible for delivering that warm, powerful, characteristic twang that's suitable for any number of music genres.

The Vintage brand

Vintage's history can be roughly divided into two periods. In the early days, the company made cheap knock-offs that lived up to all the negative stereotypes about low-budget instruments. That changed drastically, however, when Trevor Wilkinson, famed for his affordable yet high-quality guitar parts, attached his name to the Vintage brand. Not only the hardware, but the wood selection and construction methods were vastly improved. Since then, Vintage has made a name for itself by offering excellent value for money, more than holding its own among the ferocious competition in this price range.
