Innovative techniques are no exception at D'Addario, quite the contrary. These Auto-Trim Tuning machines 3+3 set-up are another good example of this. Moreover, this is a design by Ned Steinberger, also a creative innovator. Changing strings becomes a lot easier and more user-friendly with this PWAT-333L. In short: put the string through the hole, tighten the clamp, tune and have the excess string cut off. 'Have it cut off', yes, because these auto-trims feature a special mechanism that simply cuts off the excess string. It couldn't be simpler. Moreover, the tuning mechanism has an 18:1 ratio, allowing you to tune very precisely and stably. In the video, you can see how well and, above all, how easy it works. These auto-trim machines are available in several versions; this is the one with a gold finish.
