General

This left-handed GK Studio Lefty is one of Cordoba's bestsellers, and very popular with guitarists who often play amplified, on stage, in the studio or just at home. The body is slightly narrower than standard, minimising the chance of feedback into the amp. The neck is also slightly thinner and, with a spacing of 40 mm, the strings are a bit closer together, which significantly increases playing comfort. High notes are easily accessible thanks to the cutaway. The low action and construction of this guitar make it very popular with flamenco players, and the transparent tap plate on the top is certainly part of the reason. It provides extra sound effect when playing percussively, as is often the case in flamenco, of course.

Pure sound

Plugging in is definitely recommended, there is a piezo under the bridge but also a microphone in the body, both signals are picked up by a Fishman Presys Blend preamp, on which you can control tone and volume. But also acoustically this GK Studio sounds very good, the solid top of European spruce provides a very clean, clear sound with a tight punch in the higher tones and sufficient sustain in the basses.
