Fender's CN-140SE is an electro-acoustic classical guitar from the Classic Design series with a narrower neck and nut, which means the strings are slightly closer to each other. This attractively-priced model has a solid cedar top and a set-in mahogany neck with a walnut fretboard. The bridge is made of walnut too. The Easy-to-Play neck profile, rolled fret edges and 12-inch fretboard radius all ensure excellent playing comfort. Fender have even included a hardshell case so that you can safely take this nylon-string guitar with you wherever you go.

Classic Design CN-140SCE: well-balanced sound

In addition to the wood types mentioned above, the CN-140SE's back and sides are made of ovangkol. Overall, the tone is well balanced with bright trebles, pronounced mids and deep bass. Softer notes come through clearly and the louder notes never become too dominant. For faithful amplification of the acoustic sound, this classical guitar is equipped with a Fishman Presys piezo pickup and preamp.

Fender Classic Design CN-140SCE Natural with case

I was looking for a guitar that would have a small form factor (for not producing a lot of sounds- as I live in an apartment) but not a 3/4 size guitar as they have smaller fretboards. This guitar was a perfect solution to this issue. Slim body, but a full-size fret and perfect warm sound.



The only bad thing I can say is the simplicity of the rosette as I personally prefer classical Spanish rosettes. But it is purely a decorative comment.

Voor dat geld niet slecht. Zeker voor de beginner een goede gitaar.
Klassieke gitaristen hebben hier niks aan. Gitaristen met kleine handen/kinderen wel.
Toets is gebogen als een steelstring en de hals is smal smal.
Mijn Larrivee l-02 steel string heeft een bredere hals.
Erg wennen maar hij speelt goed.
Octaaf zuiver.
Alleen de D snaar is ff uit het lood wat dat betreft. Maar het is net niet storend.
Strak in de lak en goed afgewerkt. Een klein scherp randje bij één fret maar dat kan zo worden verholpen.
Versterkt goed in balans, de snaren klinken even hard.
Het stem apparaatje werkt goed en simpel.
Akoestisch mist het volume door de ondiepe body.
Topkam mag ietsjes lager maar over het algemeen een dikke plus.
De koffer is handig en ziet er goed genoeg uit. Zeker voor dat geld.
