General
This Manuel Rodriguez Model B Boca MR 'Sol y Sombra' was made in Spain. Its name literally means 'sun and shadow', and is referring to the different coloured wood types that were used in its construction. Its light-coloured cedar and spruce top contrasts well with the dark Indian rosewood back and sides. All this combined with the iconic MR logo sound hole adds up to a very unique guitar with a versatile sound.
Model B Cutaway: comfortable to play
This guitar's recess at the heel is designed so you can easily reach the very highest frets on the ebony fretboard. There are 24 frets on this elongated neck, which means this classical guitar has two full octaves! Its 54mm-wide bone string nut ensures a familiar playing experience and thanks to the integrated LRBraggs preamp, you can easily amplify this eco-friendly guitar whenever and wherever you are.
Nature by MR: a sustainable future
In 2015, Manuel Rodriguez made a pledge to reduce the effect of their ecological footprint on the planet. The factory in Esquivias, Toledo, has been completely renovated and equipped with solar panels in an effort to drastically reduce the amount of energy being used there. Their eco-friendly Nature series contains products that are all made of FSC wood, recycled materials, and finished with environmentally-friendly varnish. Just like all Manuel Rodriguez instruments, these guitars are all designed and made in Spain.
