General
The Fazley Aravelle CE is built with an all-solid construction, meaning that both the top, sides and back are made of solid okoume. This construction offers several advantages for the sound and playing experience. Namely, an all-solid construction provides more resonance and sustain, giving the guitar a fuller and richer sound than a model with laminated woods. The sound develops the longer you play the guitar, as the solid wood is able to resonate better and transmit vibrations more efficiently.
Aravelle CE: African tonewood
Okoumé is a type of wood originally from West Africa and widely used in guitar making for its excellent tonal properties and light weight. It has a warm base sound with bright, sparkling trebles, making it well suited to both acoustic and electric playing. The use of okoumé for the body and neck of the Aravelle CE contributes to a balanced sound that does not sound too heavy, but offers sufficient depth and clarity. This makes it an ideal choice for guitarists looking for a versatile guitar with a rich, well-balanced sound.
Fishman preamp
The built-in Fishman preamp is one of the highlights of this guitar. It offers a piezo element that captures the guitar's natural sound in a clear and detailed way. Thanks to the integrated tone control with knobs for volume, bass, treble and phase, you can quickly adjust the sound to different environments or preferences. Deze gitaar gekocht als extra voor vakanties, waar nu een vergelijkbare niet electrische Ibanez voor werd gebruikt. Boven verwachting mooi geluid. Zelfs naast de Guild OM150CE, waar ik normaliter op speel, klinkt deze Fazley fantastisch.
Wel de snaren gelijk vervangen door een set Elixer nanoweb phosforbronze, die het geluid aanmerkelijke verbetert en veel meer diepte geeft.
De hals moest wel behoorlijk gesteld worden, maar dan speelt deze gitaar ook fantastisch. De hals is ook wat glad, maar dat went snel.
Ook versterkt klinkt het goed.
De gitaarhoes is de meest simpele, maar wel lekker licht.
Deze all solid, die prima speelt, een fantastisch geluid heeft en er ook nog erg mooi uitziet, is waarschijnlijk het beste dat je voor deze prijs kan krijgen.
