This full pack of D'Addario XTAPB1253 acoustic guitar strings provides that familiar phosphor bronze sound, tension and feel and, since they're part of the XT-Series, you get to enjoy it for way longer. The carbon treated steel core improves the strength of these strings by 42%, and combine with Fusion-Twist fitted ball-ends for a 131% improvement of tuning stability. Sweat, grease, and other moisture is repelled by a smart hydrophobic coating that also prolongs the string lifespan by up to 3 times that of a standard set, and since the coating is so thin, the authentic feel and natural resonance is fully retained.

Soepele snaren .Voelen niet echt aan dat er een coating op zit. Maar, ik heb ze op een Taylor 916ce gezet en bij die gitaar passen ze niet goed. De gitaar is haar gedetaillerde klank kwijt en klinkt eerder doffer. Benieuwd hoe de XS gaan klinken maar ik vermoed dat er weinig verschil zal zijn. Wat mij betreft blijven de Elixir Phosphor Bronze snaren op mijn Taylor 916ce net zoals op mijn Taylor 616ce waar ik 80/20 op monteer.

Lekker te bespelen snaren! Heeft een helder warm geluid en is van de kwaliteit zoals ik van D'Addario gewend ben (heb eerder snaren van dit merk gehad).

Uitstekende snaren. Je voelt absoluut niet dat hier een coating op zit en ook de "nieuw-klank" is voor zover ik kan beoordelen (want deze zitten op een voor mij nieuw gitaartje) helemaal zoals de 'standaard' snaren van D'Addario. De ware test zit 'm natuurlijk in hoe lang deze snaren hun helderheid behouden doorheen de tijd, en dat kan ik helaas op dit moment nog niet beoordelen. Evenwel, de prima repuatie van D'Addario kennende zou dit ook positief moeten uitdraaien. Als ik eraan denk binnen enkele maanden, zal ik die ervaring ook nog delen.
