Crafted mainly out of sapele wood, this slightly smaller-bodied electro-acoustic guitar keeps the low frequencies in check, resulting in 0beautifully defined sound that continues to pack enough fullness of tone whether you strum or pluck the strings.
The Monterey Standard: Balanced Amplified Sound, Supple Playing Feel
Fender have equipped the Monterey Standard with a FE-A2 preamp, which not only comes with two controls and an undersaddle piezo pickup, but a built-in tuner so you're always assured of spot-on sound when you're up on stage. This California Series model has been dipped in satin-gloss lacquer and features a trusty C-profile and a relatively short 24.75-inch scale length for an immediately familiar, supple playing feel.
