General

The Ovation Standard Elite Deep Contour (2778AX-5-G) is an electric-acoustic western guitar for players who don't need compromise: not in sound, not in finish and certainly not in playing comfort. It is an instrument that immediately shows that it is built for serious musicians: responsive, flexible with the pickup, and dressed up with subtly striking looks. The solid Sitka spruce top and deep contour body combine to create a sound that is wide, open and tightly controlled. And Ovation's roundbacks always ensure high playing comfort. The striking inlaid 'Exotic Hardwood epaulettes' design around the sound holes makes this Standard Elite a real eye-catcher.

Eye for detail

The neck, built of five-piece mahogany and maple wood, feels solid but easy to play. The Pau Ferro fingerboard provides a premium-feeling, controlled touch, and the cutaway offers easy access to all higher frets. Another thing that stands out on the Ovation 2778AX-5-G is the small fingerboard extension. This makes it possible to play up to the 23rd fret at the highest strings, in addition to the 17 fullsize frets! Once connected to an amplifier, you immediately hear how the OCP-1K element and the OP-Pro preamp combine to deliver a transparent and natural sound. Suitable for both stage and studio, whether you play acoustic or with amplification. This Ovation electric-acoustic 2778AX-5-G is an instrument that you choose not only for its flexibility when playing through amplification, but also because it is an instrument with a beautiful natural sound and a unique look!
