The Takamine Pro Series P7DC embodies the Japanese brand's dedication to building high-quality, innovative instruments. This top-shelf electro-acoustic guitar boasts an all-solid, dreadnought-sized resonance chamber that's been constructed out of a spruce soundboard and a rosewood back and sides, and has been bound to a mahogany neck with an ebony fretboard for a beautifully complex and full foundation sound with a huge dynamic range. Other nifty features include a cutaway for unrestricted access to all twenty frets, a split saddle for accurate intonation, and an asymmetrical neck for an extra natural and comfortable playing feel. CoolTube Preamp

An instrument of this pedigree naturally deserves to shine on stage, which is why Takamine has built in their advanced CoolTube CTP-3 preamp, which runs on a 12AU7 dual-triode vacuum tube at very low voltages, giving you rich tube-induced tone that can be adjusted from clear and sparkly to husky and warm. The Palathetic undersaddle pickup also takes things quite a bit further than your standard piezo pickup, featuring six individually shielded, piezo-electric elements that are in direct contact with the saddle via the soundboard and bridge plate. The result is broad-ranging, accurately amplified sound that can then be extensively fine-tuned with the small army of knobs and sliders of the CoolTube preamp. You even have the option to install an additional pickup just in case. In short, the Takamine P7DC is an impressively high-end guitar and a more than complete stage partner.
