The 2011 Gibson J-185 Sunburst (pre-owned) embodies the classic character of Gibson’s round-shoulder range in a comfortable jumbo size. The combination of a spruce top with mahogany back and sides delivers a particularly responsive and dynamic acoustic sound; subtle with a gentle touch, powerful when you really let rip. Thanks to the traditional, scalloped X-bracing, the instrument retains its rich sustain, tight bass and clear treble. With a C-shaped mahogany neck, a 24.75-inch scale length and a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, the playability is quintessentially Gibson: smooth for both fingerstyle and powerful chords. The pure acoustic sound – without electronics – comes into its own even more when you record this guitar with a microphone. The guitar comes with a hard case, so you can take it with you safely on the go.
