General
Yamaha's TransAcoustic technology has made the leap from acoustic pianos to acoustic guitars. It makes the guitar sound like you're playing it in a specially-designed concert hall no matter where you are. In addition to this (r)evolutionary piece of technology, this LL-TA Dreadnought in Brown Sunburst is an impressive instrument in its own right. It has a solid spruce top that's been treated with Yamaha's Acoustic Resonance Enhancement process. This process involves ageing the wood under strictly controlled temperature, humidity and air pressure conditions. The result of this process is an instrument that sounds richer and fuller.
Solid Construction
Naturally, Yamaha weren't going to put their new TransAcoustic technology into any old guitar. That's why they chose this LL-TA Brown Sunburst model with its traditional specifications. The body is made of rosewood to add a warm sound to the sparkling trebles of the spruce top. For the fretboard, ebony adds warmth to the high tones and offers a very pleasant feel when playing too. The string nut and bridge saddle are made of top-quality urea resin, which is known for its superb shape retention. Yamaha has used its own hardware and electronics on the LL-TA including the System 70 TransAcoustic preamp with piezo pickup.
Yamaha TransAcoustic
Being able to play a guitar in a room with great acoustics is a fantastic and all too rare experience. That's because houses aren't really built with acoustics in mind, unfortunately. With Yamaha's TransAcoustic guitars, however, it'll sound like you're playing in a specially-designed concert hall no matter where you are. This is achieved by the use of a digital preamp that produces reverb and chorus effects. If that doesn't sound all that unique, once you find out it does this without the use of an amplifier, you'll realise just how remarkable it is. By sending the signal back into the body instead of an amp, a wonderful acoustic sound with reverb and chorus built in is right at your fingertips.

Musikmesse 2016: Yamaha TransAcoustic - Revolutionary
Friday 8 April 2016 By Richard | Bax MusicOf the many new products presented at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt, some, like this new acoustic guitar from Yamaha, are real standouts. Yamaha themselves refer to the TransAcoustic system as revolutionary and it's not hard to see why. The Yamaha LL-TA dreadnought and the LS-TA triple oh models produce a sound that'll make you think you're playing in a room with great acoustics no matter where you are. And they do this without the need for an amplifier.
