Epiphone is a great brand to check out if you're looking for an affordable slope-shouldered dreadnought guitar. The Masterbilt J-45 from the Inspired by Gibson Series is one such guitar, and it packs captivating sound and authentic looks. Every classic aspect of this famous workhorse of a guitar is fully intact, even up to the reverse belly bridge. The mahogany neck has been glued to mahogany body parts, which in turn nicely support the rich foundation sound shaped by the sitka spruce top of this all-solid steel-string guitar.
The Masterbilt J-45: The Right Tone, Right Away
To make sure the amplification is done as accurately as possible, Epiphone called on the acclaimed Fishman. Thanks to the Sonicore preamp, the integrated piezo pickup and a handful of no-fuss controls, you can dial in your sound in seconds, whether on stage, in the studio or before rehearsals. Meanwhile, full playing comfort is provided by the rounded C-profile neck and 20 medium jumbo frets.
