Fender have given one of their more underground classics the full Acoustasonic treatment. Made famous by the likes of Sonic Youth as well as Elvis Costello, the iconic Jazzmaster has helped to define entire guitar-based genres. Mounted with the newly-developed Acoustasonic Shawbucker and given a fresh set of voicings, the Acoustasonic Jazzmaster has a slightly larger body than previous Acoustasonic-remakes and bears the same, uncompromising offset body as the fully-electric original. Deluxe gig bag included.
The American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster
While the mounted Shawbucker is the most obvious, the Fender Acoustasonic Jazzmaster is actually amplified by three different kinds of pickup that can be isolated or combined to shape an immense sonic range. A piezo has been fitted beneath the bridge and a sensor has been tucked away inside the body to capture the full and natural acoustic resonance, while the Tim Shaw designed humbucker brings the beef of a clearly defined low-end alongside fierce output. Tweak the configuration with the Mod pot and 5-way switch to toggle through ten entirely different foundation sounds, each packed with their own special flavour.
Unrivalled Playing Comfort
Whether your usual weapon of choice is electric or acoustic, this model will feel instantly familiar in your hands. The mahogany neck has a comfy C-profile that's been finished with satin-gloss for a fast feel, and the ebony fretboard has been given a modern 12" radius and loaded with a set of 22 narrow-tall frets. The fully-mahogany body also comes coated in satin gloss for a more subtle and stylishly muted vibe and has been finished with graceful bevelling for a reassuringly snug playing feel, completing a more than worthy Acoustasonic incarnation of the legendary Jazzmaster.

The Jazzmaster is a different animal! Great acoustic tones, but the electric tones with built in crunch/overdrive through the amazing shawbucker pickup sounds ace, even just through an acoustic amp.
Definitely the loudest and deepest tone unplugged than the other Acoustasonic guitars in the series. I'd say, so far, the Jazzmaster is the best from Fender in the series of Acoustasonics. It really does cover most needs (for me anyway)
Comes with a nice padded fender deluxe gig bag and all the case candy etc etc.
One thing worth noting, as with all the acoustasonics is the neck has Fenders micro tilt neck adjustment, it never seems to be mentioned anywhere but is a great way to easily be quickly adjust the action. I prefer a low action, and this is literally a 2 minute job on these excellent guitars.
Don't hesitate, buy one before they become hard to get hold of, you won't regret it.

Ik heb hem in de winkel geprobeert en was gelijk weg van het ding. De looks, de bespeelbaarheid en de geluiden die deze gitaar produceert maken van hem een top gitaar. Er zit een hele mooie luxe gigbag bij, die zijn werk goed zal doen.
Onversterkt is het geluid wat zacht maar dat is wel lekker als ik bijvoorbeeld s'nachts speel, nu dan zonder overlast te veroorzaken. Ik heb oa. van Fender een Jap. strat, een Mex. bariton met bas snaren bespannen en dan nu een American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster Tungsten. Allemaal top gitaren, die mij nooit bij leven zullen verlaten, denk ik.
Ik ben een.tevrede Bax klant, die altijd goed wordt geholpen.
