General

The GY93E-NAT by Takamine is the smallest model from the G90 series. It has a New Yorker-style body similar to a Parlor-model, ideal for guitarists who are looking for that focused, articulated sound for which this popular body shape is famous. The GY93E features a solid spruce top and a three-piece back that gives the instrument a fancy look and a distinctive acoustic sound. Thanks to the built-in pickup in combination with the high-quality preamp, this steel-string guitar is perfect for live performances and recordings.

Takamine GY93E-NAT: Excellent Build Quality

In order to get more resonance, volume and a fuller sound, this compact western guitar was fitted with a solid spruce top. The sides are made of rosewood which is a beautifully grained, chocolate-brown wood type that produces a warm yet sparkling tone. Its back consists of two pieces of rosewood with a piece of beautiful quilted maple in between. The GY93E features a slim mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard with 20 frets and a 12-inch radius for optimal playing comfort. Everything is elegantly finished with maple bindings along the body, fretboard and headstock.

Fully Equipped Electronics

The GY93E doesn't only deliver great acoustic performances but has electric qualities as well. This guitar is equipped with Takamine's elaborate TK-40D preamplifier, featuring volume control and a 3-band EQ that you can switch on and off. With the Mid Contour control you can boost the mid frequencies (400 Hz) for more punch and a rounder attack. The Notch Filter is ideal for finding the frequency that is causing unwanted feedback. You also have an auto-chromatic tuner with LED display at your disposal.
