Pa3X: a complete workstation in a compact housing
The 61-key edition of the Korg Pa3X has been designed for mobile applications. To that end, the workstation has a lightweight housing and 61 keys, keeping the construction portable and manageable, without taking up too much space.
Nevertheless, this Pa3X performs efficiently, partly thanks to its clear TFT touch screen and its various faders and controls that give you full command over parameters and settings. The workstation has a well-organised layout with neatly grouped buttons and knobs, making it quite suitable for live use on stage as well.
A large collection of sounds with an authentic tone
The Pa3X features a special EDS (Enhanced Definition Synthesis) module, RX (Real eXperience) and DNC (Defined Nuance Control) technology, which enable you to make the most subtle alterations to your sound. A ribbon strip, a joystick and a number of assignable switches make sound adjustments even easier.
The workstation is packed with more than 1,100 different sounds, including new stereo grand piano and electronic piano sounds from the Korg SV-1 stage piano. More than 100 drum kits are also at your disposal, including Real Ambience drum kits. These sound particularly authentic thanks to the use of Drums Family Easy Editing, which enables you to adjust volume, pitch, EQ and ambience settings, among other things.
Built-in computer with expansion options
The Pa3X 61-key workstation is equipped with an internal 256MB memory - quite a lot for a keyboard as it is, but it can be expanded too. Using the EXB-M256 memory card, you can upgrade your memory to a maximum of 512 MB. The memory card also enables you to import additional sounds. The start-up time of the workstation has been significantly improved, especially compared to other workstations, thanks to the use of a Self-Refresh Memory Backup battery for factory and user data. An intelligent charging system keeps the battery charged at all times.
TC-Helicon for vocals, Korg for effects
Many key players value a good voice processor, which simulates vocal sounds. Korg has employed TC Helicon to create a high-quality voice processor for the Pa3X, ensuring realistic vocal sounds and high-grade audio. The vocals can be activated using the keyboard, via MIDI, MP3 input or the microphone input of the workstation. Additionally, Korg has also equipped the Pa3X with a special effects module that allows you to customise your sounds. Up to eight effects can be used simultaneously, while 140 different effect types ensure that you'll always be able to find one that suits your preferences and style.
400 preloaded styles and 1,200 style locations
The Pa3X is equipped with 400 preloaded styles, each of which is a full-fledged musical environment dedicated to a specific musical genre. The styles can be customised and stored at will - 1,200 style locations are at your disposal for your custom creations. Customised styles can be accessed again later on, for instance during a live performance.
