Maybe you've already built yourself a mighty wall of modules and the time has come to think about what you could add to start varying the sound. This is where a module like the Erica Synths Black Double Bass comes in. Exclusively designed for treating sub-notes, this module can be fed a VCO signal and respond with a sub-oscillator based on the original sound, so the resulting frequency isn't generated, but taken out of the incoming signal. From there, you're free to mess around with the sub using the supplied filter and start shaping something you can really work with.
