General

Sometimes you just want something complete, something that works. With Eurorack, a lot of modules are just components in a larger system, and before you have a set of drum sounds patched together you are quite a stack of modules away. The Erica Synths LXR Drum is then a handy solution; a 28 HP module with basically a complete drum synth. You may already know Erica's LXR-02, which is basically such a drum synth in a stand-alone housing, with an x0x-style sequencer interface. The Erica LXR Drum is the Eurorack variant, with patch holes, but without the x0x sequencer. That sequencing, via gates, will have to come from elsewhere from your Eurorack wall. The sounds themselves are quite tweakable. There are six drum sounds, with more than thirty parameters per drum sound to set. Add to that an insert effect, and you understand by now that you can never compete with this with separate component modules.
