With the NW1, the German brand Waldorf has introduced its first Eurorack wavetable module. This oscillator generates pure waveforms with the familiar Waldorf sound. Even though the NW1 is a fully analogue device, you can still control it via USB. For modular synth lovers, this rack module generator is a real must-have - it even has the familiar red wavetable dial. In short: a true synth with authentic sounds!
Waldorf NW1 Wavetable Eurorack Module: an overview
The NW1 generator - Waldorf's first Eurorack module - is equipped with CV (control voltage) and gate outputs, so you can effortlessly link it to other modules. The same goes for its three inputs, which allow the module to respond to other modules. There's even special software that enables you to control the NW1 from your computer!

Neem wel de tijd om de sweet spots te vinden. Het vinden ervan is zeker het zoeken waard.
Helaas...
-Grote zilveren knoppen zijn mijn inziens te groot en te glad en voelen niet solide aan, ik heb ze zelf vervangen door wat kleinere kleurrijke exemplaren.
-Gebruikershandleiding is niet compleet, met name de software wordt nauwelijks behandeld.
-Software, werk wel, maar is helaas te beperkt en wat buggy en ja geen handleiding, dus hoe je nu zelf een wave"table"maakt?
Al met al een fijne en mooie eurorack wavetable. Mijn inziens niet echt iets voor Eurorack beginners.

Wie bedenkt deze onzin? Een wavetable oscillator is per definitie niet analoog. Misschien is het een idee om je een klein beetje te verdiepen in materie, alvorens een expert-status te claimen; enige tijd terug werd de Dave Smith DSM01 Eurorack module aangeduid als (API) Lunchbox module, en ook de Bax review van de Moog Mother 32 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMOgAeWlKA8) geeft weinig blijk van produkt-kennis (sinds wanneer is CV control volume?)
Geweldig dat Bax ook Eurorack verkoopt, maar probeer graag iets minder over te komen als dozenschuivers.
