Antelope unveils its second generation Thunderbolt audio interface, the Orion Studio. It also supports USB and is equipped with 12 class-A microphone preamps with equally impressive digital/analogue converters. The converter chip has the fastest processing rate in the world, eight times faster on average than other interfaces, which speeds up effects like EQ, compression and reverb. This quick conversion is a result of Antelope's 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking (AFC) jitter management technology that was also found in the Orion32 and guarantees an extremely accurate signal conversion. To top it all off, it enables you to make several autonomous zero-latency monitor mixes and offers integrated DSP effects. The Orion also offers you A / B mastering grade monitor outputs for highly accurate reproduction.
Versatility
Antelope's Orion Studio audio interface is equipped with 32 channels driven via Thunderbolt and 24 driven by USB. This ensures a fast data transfer on both your Mac or Windows platform and every type of DAW you use in the studio. Its interactivity is unsurpassed and made possible thanks to the integration of both analogue and digital inputs and outputs. Orion Studio offers two sets of monitor outputs, 16 analogue outputs, 2 ReAmp outputs as well as 16 channels inputs and outputs via ADAR and 2 channels via S/PDIF.
Orion Studio: handy software-driven control
You can control Orion Studio using an application that was specially-designed for desktop use on both Mac and Windows platforms. This application makes use of colour-coded signal routing to give an optimal visual representation of the routing. Using a configuration screen, you can create up to four independent, zero-latency mixes that can be sent to each output, including two headphone outputs and two sets of monitor outputs. You can also make up to four independent monitor mixes and stream them without any latency. It's also possible to save up to five presets so you can quickly access your favourite recording preferences. Antelope Audio's Orion Studio will satisfy even the biggest purist!
