If you're not interested in the messiness of microphone or line inputs and just want an interface that offers excellent external monitor outputs for your computer, then the slimline and stripped down ARX Audibox USB DI-HP is literally made for you. Standard sound cards might be over-generous when it comes to inputs and outputs but can often skimp on the sound quality. As such, all you get with the Audibox is superb digital to analogue conversion and a pair of high quality, balanced XLR outputs to hook up a set of studio monitors.
The ARX Audibox: Outputs
Since this is the HP version of the original Audibox DI, it doesn't just come with a set of outputs for active speakers. A headphone output is also provided along with a dedicated volume control. As such, even headphone monitoring is elevated and this robust little USB-powered box can even be used for on-the-road production and mixing.
