ARX Audibox USB DI VC USB sound card
Product no: ARX-USBDIVC Bax Music Warranty: This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

General

Many users of the original USB DI asked for it, and ARX heeded the call. We're pleased to introduce the ARX USB DI-VC! The USB DI VC offers the same impressive features as the USB DI, but with additional output level control. This VC edition is still a professional, fully plug-and-play digital-to-analogue audio interface - which means you don't need existing sound card outputs - but now you can also quickly and accurately adjust the output level.

Like its predecessor, the DI-VC features fully transformer-balanced output isolation to prevent earth loops, ground hum and other annoying interaction distortion and noise.

Thanks to the addition of volume control, it's possible to use the USB DI-VC without a mixer, which is particularly practical if you're using a laptop to drive a set of active speakers. The ARX sound card's level control enables you to instantly reduce the level to the required SPL, while still retaining an outstanding signal/noise ratio.

As the USB sound card installs itself as a fully compatible generic USB audio device, there is no need to install special drivers for Mac OS X, Windows XP, Vista or 7.

On the front panel of the ARX USB DI VC, you'll find a type-B USB input connector and two transformer-balanced analogue audio XLR line outputs, which allow you to connect any standard balanced audio input. A front-mounted status LED shows you when the USB DI VC is connected and operating.

The USB DI VC comes in a rugged, all-steel chassis with an attractive matte textured powder-coated finish, with durable epoxy screen printing and anti-slip rubber pads. It provides you with an ideal way of interfacing your USB-equipped computer (especially notebook models) with the balanced inputs of a professional sound system. The ARX interface boasts various safety features, including a Kensington computer lock slot and an optional bracket kit that enables you to mount it underneath a table.
