General
M-Audio's M-Track MKII is a reissue of the original M-Track audio interface. This comprehensive USB sound card is great for home producers and singer-songwriters who want to start recording vocals and instruments in style. Its sleek white housing is equipped with two full-grade microphone/line inputs with combo XLR/6.3mm jack connectors and phantom power. That means it's possible to connect two dynamic or condenser microphones, for instance, or a microphone and a keyboard. Channel 2 even allows you to plug in an electric or electro-acoustic (bass) guitar. The M-Track MKII transmits a 24-bit/48kHz signal to your PC or Mac via its USB port, which also powers the interface.
M-Track MKII: direct monitoring
This audio interface enables you to monitor your vocals or instrument signals directly via the inputs, which is quite convenient while you're recording, as you won't have to deal with the moderate, yet annoying latency that occurs when a signal is run through a computer first. A Direct/USB knob allows you to determine the balance between the direct sound and the sound from your PC or Mac. The total volume (which is transmitted to your speakers) can be controlled by means of a large knob on the right side of the M-Track. Speakers are connected to the balanced jack outputs at the back, and the headphone output can be fine-tuned independently. The M-Audio M-Track MKII comes with the intuitive Ableton Live Lite music production software and a set of plug-ins, so you add some nice colouring to your recordings.

Heb deze gekocht voor de studio computer aansluiten en software installeren van M-Audio en draaien maar :)

Heb per ongeluk deze versie opgestuurd gekregen en deze Track uitgeprobeerd. Al snel merkte ik dat de usb verbinding plots verbrak, nieuwe kabel en de connectie even weg was en terug kwam. Had ik nooit met de oude met oude usb kabel. Kwaliteit ging wel.
Ik besloot om de M-audio Track te ruilen voor de Native Kontact audio 6 (al was het voor de test).
En toen....... Toen ging er een wereld voor me open. Jezus wat een verschil in kwaliteit:) Wouw echt pure zuivere amps. Ik heb de audio 6 op mijn Genelec 1030A. En ze gaan als beesten! Puur helder geluid.
Dus NEE niet de M-Audio doen maar ff doorsparen voor de Native Instrumenst audio 6 is mijn advies voor de echte muziekliefhebbers.

Toen ik de doos open maakte, was ik gelijk onder de indruk van de bouwkwaliteit: stevige metalen behuizing en een fijn gewicht. De knopjes draaien soepel en zitten stevig vast. Alleen kan ik het 48V-knopje goed bewegen, maar dit is niet echt een groot probleem.
De drivers kon ik van internet af plukken en installeren. Daarna heb ik het apparaat gelijk getest op Guitar Rig 5: Goed geluid en weinig latency.
Kortom: Een apparaat zonder toeters en bellen die goed functioneert!

Helaas heb ik er nog steeds geen gebruik van kunnen maken doordat de product code verkeerd was.
Vrijdag m-audio gemaild met de vraag hoe of wat en vandaag (donderdag) blijkt dat het een M-track Quad code is.
Nou okee, ik dacht dat het daarmee klaar was.
Maar helaas, tijdens de instalatie van de software die je moet downloaden krijg ik een error.
Ik heb Windows 8.1, dus heb hem als windows 7 laten lopen (dat kan volgens m-audio, en nog steeds die error.
Kortom, veel te veel problemen voor dit vrijwel waardeloze product.
Ik raad niemand aan om dit te kopen.
Ga hem terug sturen en een scarlett kopen. Die zijn in ieder geval wel goed.
