Product information

General

The Universal Audio Apollo Duo is an external audio interface with a built-in UAD2 Duo card and two SHARC DSP processors. This 24-bit/192kHz interface doesn't just boast an attractive design, its internal components and extensive functionality are impressive too. Not only does it feature four high-grade, digitally controlled microphone preamps, it also has eight balanced line inputs and outputs, monitor outputs, eight ADAT I/O channels and two S/PDIF I/O channels. All signals allow for real-time editing, using the interface's control panel and renowned UAD plugins.

Apollo Duo: two SHARC DSP processors

Universal Audio's plugins are known for their natural sound and accurate emulation of analogue studio classics. This sound card comes with the 'Analog Classics' plugins, and also supports the other plugins you can download from uaudio.com. To do this, you need to purchase the separately-available Thunderbolt expansion card. During recording, you can use them in real time (with a latency of under two milliseconds) thanks to two built-in SHARC DSP processors. Using the plugins in your DAW is an option too.

Firewire and optional Thunderbolt

The Apollo Duo audio interface is hooked up to your PC or Mac by means of a FireWire-800 connection. To ensure unparalleled speed and low latency, a Thunderbolt expansion card is included. Are you looking for an audio interface that will serve you well in your studio? With the Apollo Duo, Universal Audio truly delivers!

Buy this product before December 31st 2015, and you'll receive a free UAD-2 Quad after registration at Universal Audio.

Tips or comments about this product

  • Does not come with Thunderbolt expansion card.
  • This product is nearly identical to the Universal Audio Apollo Quad audio interface, but has two instead of four processors.
  • Please note: if you are going to use the Apollo in combination with Windows 7 (64 bits), you need a PCIe-to-FireWire 800 card. Make sure to use only the Sonnet Allegro FW800/E or the Syba SD-PEX30009.
