This MKII version of the immensely popular Apollo Twin series has been completely overhauled, resulting in a number of considerable improvements compared to the original. First of all, it features improved Unison preamps, and the AD/DA converters have also been optimised. The result is even more detail, headroom, and even less noise and distortion. What's more, the MKII has some features that weren't present on its predecessor, including Talkback and various monitor functions.

UAD-2 QUAD DSP processor

At the heart of the Apollo Twin QUAD MKII, there's a powerful quad-core processor that is responsible for all the DSP tasks. This means that the UAD plugins are calculated on board and the processor relieves your computer's CPU. As a result, you've got more processing power for other tasks and latency issues will be a thing of the past. You can apply UAD plugins directly to your mix or while monitoring, whichever you prefer. The Apollo QUAD comes complete with Realtime Analog Classic, an impressive UAD effects bundle that includes Teletronix LA2A and 1176LN compressors as well as Pultec EQs, to name but a few!
