General
The new-and-improved Apollo Twin SOLO MKII is a new-and-improved version of the original model that features fully redesigned preamps for an even higher frequency response. This means more headroom, less noise, and almost no distortion. What's more, the AD/DA converters have also been improved and there's a completely new analogue circuit that guarantees the purest signal possible. Recording in 24-bit/192 kHz audio has never been easier. The Twin SOLO MKII is also equipped with DSP effect-processing that relieves your computer's CPU while using UAD plugins. It also has a Talkback and various other monitor functions to offer.
Unison's unbelievable warmth
Universal Audio have rebuilt the preamps in this interface to include Unison technology, which ensures the audio characteristics of legendary names like Neve, API and Manley remain intact. If you want a warm analogue sound while recording vocals or guitar, this technology will deliver. Unison has managed to emulate the exact sweet spot of the original gain stages, input impedance and behaviour of the original hardware to give you a sublime result. Essentially, Universal Audio enables you to record in ultra-high quality audio in your own (home)studio for a fraction of the price of the original hardware!
UAD-2 DSP card expansion
The true power of the Apollo series lies in the fact that you've got top-of-the-line highly-acclaimed plugins at your disposal. These are based on some of the world's biggest and best names in effects and amplifiers including EQs, compressors, reverbs and tape machines by the likes of Neve, Studer, Manley, API, Ampex, Lexicon and Fender. The Apollo Twin SOLO comes complete with a UAD software bundle called Realtime Analog Classic that includes Teletronix LA-2A and 1176LN compressors, Pultec EQs and the Universal Audio 610-B Tube Preamp.
