This is a fantastic unit. Amazing sounding converters and preamps. So many useful features that a lot of other companies fail to leave out. Getting the Edge Duo bundled with the interface was a big bonus and having direct access to the mic emulations in the preamp section make its so easy to get great sounds without any messing. Really well designed routing and intergrated effects makes this the ideal interface for any studio large or small. Really can't reccomend this evough. 10 of 5 start. it's scarry good.
Wow what can i say. about three years ago i was looking for an interface and had it down to the focusrite clarrett 8prex and the Antelope discrete 8. for some reason i went with the focusrite. what a big mistake. as i am on windows i was stuck with a beta driver that worked for a lot of the time and fought with it for three year untill it decided it didnt want to play nicely anymore so was definitely time to change. in terms of i/o there wasnt too much choice for me and narrowed it down to the new discrete8. as i was about to hit the and to basket i saw the orion studio bundled with the Edge duo mic. I thought this looked amazing and would be crazy to turn down a deal like that . managed to scrape the extra money together for it and after plugging it in i am so glad i did. wow what an upgrade to what ive been using. no comparison. Its sounds incredible. Really couldnt ask for any more in an interface. The converters sound fantastic, The preamps sound better than the few choice pre amp i already have (which are probably gonna be sold now). The Routing is insanely well thought out. Being able to patch hardware into the converters and bypassing the preamps is a nice touch always something i had an issue with in the past. My only regreat was not getting the Discrete 8 in the first place. Really cannot reccomend this enouogh. its got everything and a whole lot more you could ever need and most important its sounds amazing. took me a whole minute to get up and running. cant say that about my last interface. If your thinking of a new interface, Look no further and join the Antelop Family.

Since I took receipt of the unit, it does not disappoint, and the integration into my workflow has been very positive. With the mic modelling technology, the units onboard processing, the plug-in emulations, and the clarity of the mic-pre’s make this unit a serious bit of kit which can easily work in a pro environment to home recording spaces.
Very clean sounding converters and preamps with more i/o than any other interface in this price range. The realtime effects are top notch and great for zero latenncy mixing and tracking. The Antelope Audio support staff have been very helpful and are always there if you need them. All in all a great product with professional build quality.
