General
Record in uncompromising studio-grade quality at a far more affordable price-point courtesy of the Universal Audio Volt 176 USB-C audio interface. This no-nonsense interface features a built-in compressor that's been directly based on the iconic 1176 - one of Universal Audio's most legendary offerings. This setup guarantees maximum transparency as well as the sonic punch needed to give vocals and instruments professional polish. On top of that, this 1x2 interface is nice and compact, bus powered and comes wrapped up in tight vintage style. Besides the 1176 compressor emulation, the Volt 176 runs on an emulation of the Universal Audio 610 valve preamp circuit, colouring in the sound of whatever you're working on with naturally lush and rich fullness.
MIDI Ins & Outs for Vintage Gear
Simply because a USB port can do it all, most modern synthesizers won't come fitted with old-school MIDI inputs and outputs. But just in case you are the proud owner of a few vintage synths and modules, the Volt 176 comes fitted with a set of MIDI inputs and outputs so you can hook them up directly and without the need for any external converters. For a more mobile setup, you can even plug this interface into your iPad or iPhone since it's 100% compatible with both iOS and iPadOS. And, since a massive software bundle comes included, you're kitted out with a complete tool box to help shape productions from start to finish - including an impressive stack of VST instruments and effects from some of the biggest names in the industry.
