General
Yamaha's URX44 is the ideal new interface. Thanks to its many useful features, it is suitable for musicians and content creators alike and can also be used standalone. It has 4 XLR/jack combination inputs for mic and line-level signals, two of which also have a Hi-Z instrument option. Its compact size and ability to record directly to an SD card make it suitable for mobile application. Thanks to its two headphone jacks, you can easily collaborate with others. It also has a headset jack, with a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a 3.5 mm microphone jack. Ideal for voice-chat, voice-overs or gaming with high-quality audio.
Digital effects and touchscreen
The URX44's Digital Signal Processor allows you to achieve a full mix in your interface. Thanks to its many effects, you can make the most important adjustments without burdening your computer. Filter out troublesome frequencies, for example, or make your voice sound fuller with the four-band parametric equaliser. Add a bit of reverb, or make the dynamics more pleasant to listen to with the compressor. Even an Amp Simulator is provided, allowing you to simulate a guitar amp, ideal if you're travelling or want to record guitar silently. The Yamaha DSP is controlled with the five buttons and 4.3-inch colour touchscreen.
