The Sony ECM-MS2 compact electret condenser microphone records in either mono or stereo mode. If stereo support is not required, you can easily switch to mono by cutting off the power supply to the right-hand channel - ideal if you want to connect to a wireless system with one channel, where you would otherwise just record ambient sound via the other channel.
Thanks to its lightweight yet rugged metal housing, this solid microphone won't give you any unpleasant surprises. The robust construction is very durable and reduces annoying vibrations, resonance and noise to boot.
