Sennheiser's MKE 440 is a stereo directional microphone that allows you to capture professional audio when recording with DSLR cameras and camcorders. It features two shotgun microphones that are mounted in a V configuration for high-quality stereo recording that filters out unwanted noises like wind. The 440 is the follow-up to Sennheiser's highly popular MKE400. Relying on your camera's internal microphone to capture the sound will usually leave you with audio that's inferior to your images. Unlike many shotgun mics that record in mono, this model with two mics will capture high-quality stereo sound, taking your footage to the next level.

Innovative design

The MKE 440 is designed to only pick up the sound you want to record and filter out the rest. This results in a high quality recording without any undesirable noises. The microphones are covered by two layers of mesh that are far more effective than a windshield, and allow the full audio spectrum through but not noise like wind. The microphone has a three-level sensitivity adjustment and a low cut function for optimal recording depending on your environment. The MKE 440 runs on batteries and comes complete with a coiled mini jack cable.
