Enjoy full mobility with the Behringer Eurolive B207MP3 monitor! This portable, lightweight device can be mounted on a microphone stand and adjusted to the desired height. The B207MP3 can be used as a PA during meetings and small performances, and delivers HI-FI sound and is equipped with a variety of features, such as a built-in MP3 player.
Playing MP3s with the B207MP3
The Behringer B207MP3 has a built-in MP3 player via USB, so you can easily play all of your favourite music from a thumb drive. The MP3 player is equipped with its own menu control with display and volume control. The MP3 player is equipped with its own menu control with display and volume control.
Lightweight, with built-in mixer
Thanks to the revolutionary class D amp technology and internal switched-mode power supply, the B207MP3 speakers not only sound great, but they also weigh much less than conventional active speakers (only 5.1 kg). They pump 150 watts out of a compact speaker, and you can daisy chain multiple speaker systems with the convenient THRU socket. A built-in mixer provides three input channels, including a switchable input for instruments (no DI necessary), and a unique 3-band EQ (bass/mid/treble) for simple yet effective tone control.
Class D amplifiers
Instead of working continuously like class AB circuits, class D amplifiers switch on and off thousands of times per second so they only deliver power when necessary. In other words, the amplifier is either fully on or fully off, which decreases power loss and increases efficiency. Thanks to the switched-mode power supply, the class D amplifiers are much lighter so you can transport them easily to your events and performances.
High-quality sound system
You can set up a full-fledged high-quality sound system with just one B207MP3 speaker system and a microphone. Thanks to the built-in preamp, you can connect a dynamic microphone and adjust the volume with the LEVEL knob. Just connect your sound source (CD or MP3 player) and tuck the system away on a table or mic stand. It's that easy. If you need more coverage, you can daisy chain as many additional system as you want via the link output XLR connector.

One point, not mentioned in the advertising: use a sturdy mic stand, with a wide base spacing, as otherwise it may be a bit 'top heavy'. Also, make sure that any boom-arm stand that you use (needed if you want to position the speaker horizontally) has a very secure locking mechanism! You don't want it to tip forward and fall off the stand. A short boom arm is best, as it won't protrude too far behind the speaker. One acoustic trio that I mix for were very impressed with unit, as they can now have a lower level of foldback, compared to using a normal wedge: this minimises the 'spill' from their foldback, always a bonus on smaller stages.

De USB aansluiting heb ik nog niet gebruikt maar die komt vast ook nog een keer van pas.
Ik heb 'm op een microfoonstandaard met ronde voet gezet, dat werkt prima.
Achteraf heb ik spijt dat ik de hoes er niet bij heb besteld, het is op zich een robuust apparaat maar zonder hoes toch wat kwetsbaar.

Ik gebruik hem inmijn studio als versterker voor mijn Yamaha MODX en TYROS5,
een subwoofer heb je niet nodig!

Heb hem pas gekocht en tot nu toe enkel gebruikt om bij een klein optreden via de mp3 wat intro-muziek te spelen en daarna op de akoestische live-set de zangpartij wat te ondersteunen (richting publiek, dus niet als moinitor). Dus ook nog niet ten volle benut, maar klinkt toch al goed.
Als ik hem later via de thru-connector zou willen doorlinken naar een volgende monitor ware het leuk geweest om identiek dezelfde B207 te hebben maar dan zonder de mp3 en al die ingangen, maar die is er spijtig genoeg niet (of nog niet?) in het Behringer gamma.
De B207mp3 is vergezeld van de nodige adaptors om hem op een microfoonstatief te monteren. Een adapter om hem op een 35mm luidspreker- of lichtstatief te zetten is er niet bij en moet je zelf aanschaffen (vb K&M 24521). Ik gaf hem echter geen 5 sterren omdat Behringer niets voorzien heeft om hem kaarsrecht op een statief te monteren, geen extra adapter, geen mogelijkheid om de interne adapter om te draaien...
OK, het is een monitor die schuin naar boven hoeft gericht te zijn, maar dwz dat je hem niet zomaar op zeg maar een 2m hoog statief kan zetten zonder (opnieuw) een adapter bij te kopen zoals de K&M 19670 of 19674.
Je zou zeggen, ik schroef de adapter in de luidspreker los en draai hem 180° (dan zou hij zo goed als recht kunnen staan) maar de vorm van de kraag van de adapter laat het niet toe en de gaatjes waar de schroeven in gaan komen dan niet meer overeen, alhoewel je op het eerste zicht zou denken dat dit wel kan lukken. Een (moedwillig) designfoutje van Behringer?
Wat Bax-Shop betreft: een perfecte en snelle levering.
Bij mijn eerste contact met de helpdesk met de vraag naar adaptors, iemand aan de lijn gehad die er duidelijk geen kaas van gegeten had, maar later een email van de helpdesk ontvangen van iemand die wel met kennis van zaken sprak. Waarvoor dank.
