HK Audio's Premium PRO series also features a line of active speakers. The PRO series is known for affordable, high-quality speakers. This line within the series features speakers with a built-in 600W class-D amplifier. Class-D amps are digital amplifiers that weigh only 1.5 kg, making your roadie's life a lot more pleasant. Thanks to the series active nature, you now have many more options when composing a setup. You can easily chain several satellite speakers or have a full active system with just a subwoofer and a satellite. The amplifiers are equipped with locking speaker outputs for an additional passive speaker (like one from the passive Premium PRO series, for instance). All in all, you get the reliable Premium PRO series' quality with a lot of extra functionality.
The PRO 12M A is an active floor monitor with a built-in 600W RMS amplifier. The PRO 12M A has the same properties as the PRO 12 A, but the difference is that the 12M A's design allows it to be used as a floor monitor. As it weighs just 17.5 kg and has a compact shape, it is perfect for use on the road.

Wrote the following about HK Audio Premium PRO 12M A active floor monitor
Wat ik mis bij deze monitor qua geluid is de "body". Het zanggeluid moet je kunnen voelen en dat is bij deze niet zo. Ik heb daarna een passieve 15" monitorspeaker van Powerworks eraan gekoppeld en woowww, wat een voelbare verschil door het lagere frequentie bereik van de 15" monitor speaker.
Achteraf had ik beter de Premium Pro 15XA actieve monitor moeten aanschaffen, maar die is wat zwaarder qua gewicht dan de Pro 12MA.
Voor mij is het enige pluspunt van de Pro 12MA , het gewicht.
De versterker is luid genoeg. Er zou eigenlijk ook een tone regeling moeten zijn zoals de Pro 15XA, dan zou waarschijnlijk de Pro 12MA de ideale zangmonitor zijn.
Ik heb in het verleden bij Baxshop ook een HK FAST monitor gekocht. Qua geluid is de FAST beter dan Pro 12MA vind ik.
