General
The Line 6 FBV Shortboard MKII puts all the functions of your Line 6 amplifier or POD directly beneath your feet. The Shortboard has a rugged metal housing and thirteen metal foot switches. It is easy to use too, simply connect the device and you're good to go! Its USB port allows you to connect the FBV Shortboard MKII to your PC or Mac. The RJ45 foot controller is powered via the included cable.
An overview of the Shortboard's functions
Line 6's Shortboard MKII foot controller features a large, clearly legible backlit LED display that shows the name and number of the active preset, as well as the chromatic tuner. The bright LEDs above the foot switches tell you whether they are on or off. The light above the Tap Tempo flashes at the speed you've indicated. Next to the expression pedal is a bright LED to show you whether you've engaged the volume or wah mode.
FBV software:
Thanks to the FBV control software you'll no longer need to comply to the layout of the buttons on the FBV Shortboard MKII foot controller, as you can assign any desired function or preset on your amplifier to any foot switch. Moreover, you can also assign several MIDI functions so you can control your favourite audio application via USB. Also, you can use the USB port to upload future software updates. Whether for performing, studio or home use, the FBV Shortboard MKII foot controller is perfect for any situation.

Gezien ik gebruik maak van de Line6 SpiderValve HD100 (MKI, de orginele) kan je niet volledig gebruik maken van de functies van de shortboard.
Maar nu toch maar eens besteld aangezien ik met de express board toch wel beperkt was.
Het is een heel stevig pedaal met veel mogelijkheden, bij een MKII of andere digitaal aan te sturen versterkers kan je de pedaal helemaal zelf in programmeren hoe je wilt.
Dit werkt dan niet met de MKI, maar verder kan ik hiermee alles wat ik eerder wou.
Zeker een enorme goede aanvulling op mijn gear.
De volume / wah pedaal reageert stukken beter en vloeiender dan die van de express board, en alle knoppen voelen ook degelijk aan.
Het grotere LCD panel voor de tuner e.d. is ook een verademing voor live, hiermee is een stuk beter te stemmen en is geen losse tuner meer nodig.

Het is een duur pedaal maar is het geld zeker waard!
