The Vintage Series Professional MKII Tone Bender from the British Pedal Company doesn't just have the same look as the Gary Hurst designed fuzz box from 1966, but boasts the same three-piece OC75 transistor configuration and the same delicious sound. To get a good idea of what this hard-wired, true-bypass pedal is capable of, just have a listen to the guitar sound on Keep on Running by The Spencer Davis Group. Basically, you can expect sweet, singing sustain framed by the extra bite you get from a set of OC75 transistors instead of OC81D transistors, whether partnered with a set of single-coil or dual-coil pickups. Just like the original '66 edition of the Professional MKII Tone Bender, this BPC-made reincarnation can only be powered by a standard 9V battery.
