Dunlop's FFM3 Fuzz Face Mini Hendrix guitar effect pedal has the same circuit as its larger predecessor, the JGH1, but with a more compact housing to make it even more pedalboard-friendly and better suited for on-the-road use. Create the same sounds as the guitar legend himself with this Fuzz Face!
Authentic to the core
Just like its larger counterpart, the Dunlop FFM3 Fuzz Face Mini has a super sturdy housing. With a beautiful turquoise hammer finish, the Fuzz Face is complete with an authentic, vintage look. Of course it's just as authentic on the inside too, which is where it really counts. Dunlop equipped the Fuzz Face Mini with the same BC108 transistor and jack connectors, and guaranteed its excellent quality with hand-soldering.
Full Fuzz!
The FFM3 Fuzz Face Mini is quite a comprehensive pedal. Don't expect any of those superfluous bells and whistles with this device, as there are just two controls - one for volume and one for fuzz, or overdrive. Besides that, the pedal also has two 6.35mm jacks for your guitar and guitar amp. You can activate the fuzz effect with just the simple press of a button. This pedal is also equipped with true hardwire bypass, which means that your original guitar sound won't be altered when the pedal is off.

Dit pedaal verdient 5 sterren laar helaas is het rubber van boven en beneden al na twee maanden los gekomen. Wat er erbarmelijke kwaliteit! Maar het geluid van deze pedaal is super goed. Het ligt in het midden tussen OD en fuzz.

VET!! Zo en daarmee is alles gezegd. Zoals velen wilde ik het Hendrix geluid maar dat is het niet geworden omdat ik geen Hendrix ben en mijn eigen sound heb. Hoe klinkt dit pedaal ? Nou, megavet dus...via mijn Marshall JTM45 en Fender Bluesdeluxe geeft hij een dikke romige sound die me eerder aan Eric Johnson doet denken( speel met Strats) en ik ben er heeeeel blij mee. In combi met een Dynacomp geeft hij me een heerlijke vioolachtige dikke sound die als een warme deken aanvoelt. Hij is wel wat kieskeurig met andere pedalen en dan met name met de modulatie achtige... . Experimenteren met de locatie in Signal chain is wenselijk . Uvibe klinkt het beste voor de Fuzzface maar dan is het effect weer wat minder en Uvibe na de Fuzzface geeft veel Vibe maar ook een fel hoog erbij...ergo testen dus. Maar desondanks een fantastisch pedaal voor een heel mooi prijs. Nu nog even sparen voor de Studio Vintage SV20H en kijken hoe die combi gaat uitpakken.

De fuzz face geeft echt die iconische Hendrix sound. Ik vind het pedaal zelf het beste klinken met de fuzz knop voluit.
Het pedaal is gebaseerd op degene uit de jaren 60 die Hendrix gebruikte.
Deze mini versie is gebruikt door onder andere Chris Robertson van Black Stone Cherry.
Met een wah pedaal ervoor is er misschien een buffer tussen de wah en de fuzz face nodig.

In 1966 hoorde ik HEY JOE van Jimi Hendrix en was meteen verkocht! Stratocaster en Marshall en de nodige pedalen, maken spelen voor mij iedere keer tot een feest. Uiteindelijk toch maar eens mijn zinnen gezet op de Fuzz Face, die nu in identieke mini-vorm op de markt is. Ben daarbij redelijk op het spoor gezet door de voortreffelijke demonstratie van Mike Hermans op www.prymaxvintage.com. Heb de FF net aangesloten en het werkt fantastisch, wat een geluid! De volumeknop is hierbij de basis in het geheel. Volume terug een klein randje, volume up stevig randje, volume vol a big full fuzz wall sound! Hèt ontbrekende geluid in mijn setup. En voor de Jimi Hendrix liefhebber, je komt er zo heel dichtbij!
