General

The Walrus Audio Silt Harmonic Fuzz was developed in collaboration with tube specialist Jim Hagerman. The result is a stompbox with a fully analogue circuit, using a 12AU7 tube in the preamp. This tube drives the fuzz, allowing you to count on a warm base tone that preserves grain, growl and harmonically complex textures. The Silt is made in the USA and is fully true bypass. The Silt can also be used on 12V for when you are looking for that little extra gain.

What makes this tube fuzz extra special is the Harmonic mode. This mode acts as a frequency doubler before the "drive" part of the pedal. This allows you to enjoy octave-like sounds that add a special element to your lead tones. Turning down the tone control on your guitar slightly will bring out this effect best. Another handy addition is the contour mini-switch, which lets you choose between high pass, flat or high pass. Thanks to these different tibres, you can use the Walrus Audio Silt for all kinds of styles.
