General
The venerable fuzz professors of Wren and Cuff have managed to stuff the ultimate sound of the early Seventies Ram's Head inside one stompbox: all in honour of legendary Dinosaur Jr. guitarist, J Mascis. The 'senior' edition of the Garbage Face is the result of an intensive, two-year-long collaboration plus custom, top-class components, all in the pursuit of the same, character-loaded sound of J's very own 1987 Muff pedal. This custom pedal has been built in America using the best components going, so you're assured of the clean performance of a true-bypass circuit.
The Garbage Face: Hand it Over
The bigger edition of the Garbage Face includes a built-in boost section that's based on the germanium treble booster that the Dinosaur Jr. guitarist always has planted on his pedalboard. Engage the boost via the footswitch mounted on the right and, set your boost level via the dedicated pot and vary the effect via the two-way mini switch to apply a mix-slicing treble boost or a solid full boost. Meanwhile, the footswitch on the right toggles your fuzz on and off, while the footswitch in the middle toggles between two volume stages, which can be locked via the provided pots. Dial it all in and unleash the iconic sound of Seattle during the early nineties - which doesn't just evoke Dinosaur Jr. - but Nirvana, Sonic Youth and the tender roots of grunge.
