General

The ICON i-Pad is a professional mini MIDI controller that is perfect for using triggering, to play samples, loops, or program drums. This compact MIDI controller is perfect for anyone who doesn't have a lot of room in their studio, or who is often on the go.

The i-Pad features 12 velocity-sensitive trigger pads with adaptable velocity curves. It also has an X/Y touchpad to control multiple parameters, like the drum roll. The roll and the flam can also be controlled with a button. The fader is freely assignable and can be used to control the overall volume, for example.

The included iCon iMap software is MIDI mapping software you can use to reassign your controls. The unique USB daisy chain functionality will allow you to connect up to three i-controllers in a row to a MIDI receiver, meaning you don't need a separate USB hub to use multiple i-controllers simultaneously.

Wrote the following about iCON i-Pad

Great little product, brilliant for tapping out foley footsteps into a soft-sampler loaded with step sound effects. Much easier to use than a keyboard for that. And a brilliant sale price too - much cheaper than the Korg equivalent.

Wrote the following about iCON i-Pad

This item is actually very good. It is heavy so won't jump around your desk when you are tapping out beats. Seems to be well made. I bought it to use with my iPad but it draws too much power for this so it has ended up on my desk setup where it fits in very well and is completely plug and play depending on which DAW you are using. Worth what I paid but don't buy it if you want to use with an iPad

Je viens de recevoir ce pad et a ma grande surprise (car le prix est vraiment une affaire) il fonctionne parfaitement sous logic sans avoir a faire grand chose toutes les pads et touches sont directement reconnues (pas comme certaines grandes marques malheureusement) le pad tactile fonctionne egalement parfaitement. La qualité de fabrication est bonne, j'ai été surpris par le poid de l'engin qui est assez lourd pour sa taille.Je ne connais pas son frere jumeau (qui vaut plus de 2 fois son prix) mais l'utilisation que je veux en faire ce pad sera parfait .utilisation nomade soit sur un macbook soit sur un ipad car celui ci fonctionne aussi avec le cordon camera apple sans avoir besoin de le connecter a une prise electrique. Bref pour un voyageur ou une personne qui dispose de peu de place chez lui c'est parfait, je vous reommande cet appareil

Mui malo el controlador,es robusto y llamativo asi a primera vista pero en mi caso me llegó el Icons Ipad ayer y el pad de la fila de abajo de la derecha no funciona,(a pesar de mapear y mapear con el software que trae) y por encima los pads de la fila de abajo no suenan como los de ariba,me explico,aunque les des con la misma fuerza que los de ariba me los capta en bajito.

Wrote the following about iCON i-Pad

Kreeg de pad niet werkend met Reason 5 op mijn iMac Intel. Voor de onderste knoppen waren via de software de noten niet in te stellen. Ook voelden de buttons niet aan zoals verwacht (erg hard). Heb deze toen retour gestuurd en de Akai LPD8 gekocht. Met de Akai was het gelijk plug & play wat mij een gelukkig man heeft gemaakt. Ook ligt de algemene kwaliteit bij de Akai veel hoger. Koop deze in ieder geval niet.
