Live 2 is a superb piece of kit and I'm convinced it's capable of full productions as a standalone unit. The workflow retains enough of the old MPC OS to be familiar and yet adds a huge amount of new capabilities with the cv tracks, plugins, synths and key groups. You literally can make any sound imaginable with this box alone, and that's before you even start on the sampling! The touchscreen is really well implemented, I don't like touchscreens for music usually, but this one gives a huge amount of information with minimal (if you choose) interaction. There are obvious things it's good for like drawing in automation and zooming in/out of waveforms. Otherwise, you can happily just use it to select things and then control the parameters with Q-links & pads. the 2.10 update is so deep I actually think it will be a long time before I plug anything external into the MPC apart from turntables for sampling vinyl. I'm sure there will be more updates to iron out small niggles too. Of all the "all-in-one" boxes I've had this is the most capable. Definite 5 star product!

Ik heb er ook die desktopstandaard bij gekocht omdat ik toch veel al aan mijn bureau zit en dan is het niet handig als je steeds over dat apparaat heen moet buigen om op het display te kunnen kijken en te kunnen bedienen. Dit is ook van het merk akai maar ben erg teleurgesteld in de degelijkheid. Dat ga je niet met je mee sjouwen want dan gaat het zo kapot. En daar betaal je dan €56 voor!
Dat de batterij het vijf tot 6 uur vol zou houden zal ik eens een keer gaan testen want ik heb er een hard hoofd in dat hij het zo lang (5-6uur) volhoudt. Wat ik tot nu toe gezien heb loopt die vrij snel leeg. Ook vind ik het erg jammer en gebrekkig dat de bluetooth functionaliteit geen audio ondersteund.
Maar goed, Ik ga hier leuke fijne dingen mee doen!
