Indulging fans of Queen and Brian May, VOX present a special edition of the MV50 amp head: the MV50 Brian May. Loaded with a Korg NuTube 6P1 - a revolutionary preamp vacuum tube that generates authentic tube-style sound yet requires significantly less space and power - this humble amp head harnesses May's legendary stadium rock sounds and can be set up for small gigs or home practice sessions.

MV50 Brian May: A Kind Of Magic

To build this signature amp head, VOX took an AC30 - May's go-to amp - and piled on a Knight Audio Technologies treble boost that can be activated at will. Hook it up to a matching 4-Ohm cabinet and all 50 Watts of power are unlocked (or 25W at 8 Ohms and 12.5W at 16 Ohms). If you're running a relatively big speaker cab, then be sure to set the EQ switch to flat, or switch to 'deep' when using a smaller cab to get richer sound. Also, decked out in a special red finish, the VOX MV50 Brian May is a brilliant match with the BMG Red Special - just saying.

Wrote the following about VOX MV50 Brian May 50W Guitar Amplifier Head

geweldig ding, superklein en klinkt onwijs. ik speel er slechts thuis op en dan een vox (nighttrain) speakerboxje eronder. ik had nog een vox vt40+ combo en dus heb ik de hoofdtelefoon uitgang van de MV50 daarop aangesloten (kan met ieder andere versterker of combo natuurlijk). nu gebruik ik dat combo als tweede geluidsbron met de galm en phaser daaruit en dat klinkt onwijs. dus het feit dat de MV50 geen effecten aan boord heeft is daarmee verholpen. je hoeft overigens niet alleen maar brian may te spelen. de benadering van brian's sound is beangstigend goed !!! Maar als je een "gewoon"versterkers geluid wil kan dat ook. als je de KAT (treblebooster ) uitzet en de gain iets terug heb je een mooie crunch of clean. ik heb daar een Electro harmonix east river drive voor geplaatst en dat klinkt ook onwijs. of ik hiermee zou giggen weet ik niet maar voor thuis vind ik het zeker voor het geld een wereldsound hebben en best mogelijkheden , en brian at your fingertips !!! aanrader.......
