This 551 pick has a slightly wider body and a pointier tip than the 451 plectrum. It is made of celluloid, a material that is traditionally used for picks as it is easy to cast and work but outside of ping-pong balls and guitar picks, it has become a rare sight. Luckily, it can still be beheld on this pick where it produces a warm, round tone that is always musical.
