General
This set consists of four picks made from African Ebony, one of the hardest woods (3320 on the Janka scale). The shape is derived from the classic (Fender) 351 picks and the thickness is 0.7 mm at the tip, this increases to 2.4 mm where you hold the pick. African Ebony picks provide a bright and crispy sound. If you use them for your acoustic guitar, you will find that the sound will sound significantly brighter. The picks are computer cut and then sanded and polished by hand.
The importance of picks
In the quest for the perfect sound, the plectrum is quite often forgotten. This is completely unjustified because this little tool has a huge impact on your sound. This is not only because of the different thicknesses and shapes, but certainly also because of the material the pick is made of. As your guitar playing progresses, you will make higher and more specific demands on your picks. This is exactly why Bax-shop has included the Timber Tones in its range.
