The Gibson 57 Classic Underwound is a two-conductor, 7.2 kOhm PAF-style Alnico 2 humbucker for electric and semi-acoustic guitars. This warm-and-sweet-sounding pickup can be planted in the neck or bridge position, kitting out your model with the clarity and extra sparkle of that unmistakable Patent Applied For sound. As a pure, period-correct touch, this pickup hasn't even been wax-potted and, since this is the Underwound edition, the core features fewer windings, pushing up the overtone definition and resulting in extra brightness - especially when it's installed at the neck.
