This is the Suhr Thornbucker Humbucker Bridge 50mm. This is a Pete Thorn signature PAF-style 8.5 kOhm bridge element, intended mainly for electric guitars but also suitable for semi-acoustic guitars. This double-coil bridge element was born from the desire to offer guitarists a humbucker with the best features of those beloved 1950s Patent Applied For pickups without the drawbacks. After countless prototypes and listening sessions, Suhr and Pete finally found the perfect formula that captures the essence of these iconic PAF pickups from this period. This came about after extensive experimentation with different elements, magnets, wires, caps and windings. This pickup also features modern 4-core wiring for coil-splitting and offers that consistency and quality of Suhr. This Alnico 4 pickup offers you clear and tight sounds for the bridge position. If you are a guitarist looking for a humbucker that conveys all the nuances, subtleties and feel of an iconic vintage guitar pickup, this Thornbucker Bridge is a sublime choice at the bridge of your guitar.
