This is the Suhr Thornbucker Humbucker Neck. This is a Pete Thorn signature PAF-style 7.2 kOhm neck element, intended particularly for electric guitars but also suitable for semi-acoustic guitars. This neck element was developed to give guitarists a humbucker that embodies the best characteristics of the famous fifties PAF-style guitar elements without any shading at all. After many listening sessions and prototypes, Suhr and Pete knew how to find the ideal mix. In the process, they experimented with different variables such as magnets, wiring, caps and windings. This neck pickup perfectly captures the soul of the most beloved Patent Applier For pickups of this era with Suhr's reliability and quality. It also has modern 4-wire wiring, which especially enables coil-splitting. This Alnico 5 element delivers you exceptional dynamic tone and versatility for neck. As a guitarist, are you looking for a humbucker that captures the nuances and character of those vintage humbuckers?
